Prepare for an AI headshot request
Choose reference photos and write clear requirements for an on-site profile-photo request. Request intake is currently unavailable.
Choose reference photos
Start with recent photos that look like the person today. Clear, evenly lit photos make visible features easier to review. Blurry images, strong filters, sunglasses, group shots, and old photos can make those features harder to identify.
- Keep one person in each photo.
- Avoid mixing photos with very different expressions or hairstyles.
- Use photos you own or have permission to use.
Decide what the request should say
Describe the purpose, the person's features to preserve, the clothing, background and lighting to change, and the framing you want. For example, ask to keep the face shape, skin tone and hairstyle while changing only the outfit and setting. State the key requirements clearly instead of adding many changes at once.
- Purpose: Choose a work profile, resume, portfolio, or social profile.
- Features to preserve: Mention face shape, skin tone and natural texture, hairstyle, glasses, or distinctive marks.
- Changes: Specify the outfit, background, and lighting you want.
- Framing: Set the image ratio, crop, gaze, and expression.
The selected photos show the same person. Prepare one natural profile photo for a work profile. Keep the person's face shape, the relative placement of their eyes, nose and mouth, skin tone, natural skin texture, hairstyle, and visible glasses recognizable. Change only the clothing, background, and lighting. Use a neat smart-casual outfit, a quiet office background, and soft window light. Frame the person shoulders-up in a portrait 4:5 composition. Add no text, logos, extra people, watermarks, props, or collage.
Prepare a request in the studio
- Open the AI Headshot Studio and choose reference photos.
- Choose the purpose and image ratio, then select Classic Studio, Natural Light, or Creative Professional.
- Review and edit the request text. Your own wording stays when you change a selection. To apply the current selections to the suggested text, choose Restore Suggestion.
- Review the photos, text, and ratio before sending. Photo request intake is currently unavailable, so requests cannot be submitted.
Photo request intake is currently unavailable
When the profile-photo request service is available, customers will submit photos and requirements here and check request status and results on this site. You cannot send a request now, and the studio does not transmit your photos or text. Check the page for the upload consent and submission steps when intake opens.
Review the result when one is available
- Check that face shape, skin tone, hairstyle, glasses, and distinctive marks have not changed or disappeared.
- Zoom in to review skin texture and details around the eyes, ears, teeth, and clothing.
- Make sure the outfit and setting fit the intended use, and check the destination's requested image ratio.
- Keep a separate copy of your original photo.
Keep official identity photos separate
Rules for AI-generated or edited photos depend on the receiving institution. Check the current requirements before using an image for a passport, identity card, visa, or exam application. This studio does not certify official identity photos or guarantee acceptance.
Check photo permissions
Get permission before using another person's portrait. Do not include sensitive work material or photos you cannot share in a request.
